Meet Our Chef
James Duke, of Yankton, SD (originally from Texas) began Duker's BBQ several years ago when his love of grilling prompted him to enter the Ribs, Rods and Rock 'n Roll BBQ Competition in Vermillion, SD. Taking his small backyard BBQ grills with him, he cooked his heart out and won the overall championship prize in his first attempt at competition grilling. This only lit the fire in James to continue to cook and perfect recipes that are unique to his style of cooking. He loves to see people enjoy his cooking more than anything, which led to him starting to cook for individuals, events and special occasions along with the competitions that he so loves!
